Self-Portrait

Ever since college I have wanted to do a self -portrait. I believe that I had mono at the time I made my self-portrait in college painting class. So here is a new and updated self-portrait done in pastel. I used a photo that I had mom take of me here on the lake which Johan and I live.

Swat

Recently I did a picture for my cousin who is on the swat team. It is just a pencil drawing done from a photo he had choosen for me to look at.

Man with the Baby

This is one of my favorite portraits I have done recently. This was done from a photo given to me by our church from a mission trip. I did this in a larger format, it is 24x36 inches.

Little Girl with Bear

I recently did this portrait for a customer. She is really cute with her bear.

Man in the Hat

I love this guy, he looks so happy. This is done from the same photograph as the one titled Man in Red.

Tango

I just did this of Tango, he is a boxer. It is done in colored pencil.

A member of our church gave me some photographs from which I did this portrait. The photograph was from a church missiontrip. Anyone that ever has good pictures to pass along please let me know.

Johan on the Klarälven

This is my latest portrait that I have completed. It was done from a picture that I took of him on our first trip together to Sweden in 2000. This river runs just in front of his father's home. It is a beautiful place and I will always remember our boat ride on the Klarälven.

Pakistan Worker

This is the second piece that I did over the break. The photo reference I used was also from the same photographer as the previous pastel painting.

Nepal Girl

Over the holiday I was able to do a couple new pastel paintings. This is one of a Nepal girl from a photograph from one of my favorite Natl' Geographic photographers.
